Responsibilities
- Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW, and other welding techniques on materials including sheet metal, ductwork, and piping
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements
- Operate fabrication equipment such as press brakes, plasma cutters, and pipe-threading tools
- Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) to ensure accuracy and quality
- Set up and safely operate rigging equipment, including cranes and forklifts
- Fabricate components in accordance with ASME codes and industry standards
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in manufacturing and construction settings
- Assist with assembly and installation tasks as needed
- Conduct quality inspections using visual and measurement-based testing methods
Requirements
- Proven experience as a welder in manufacturing or construction environments
- TIG welding experience required, with proficiency in MIG and FCAW welding
- Experience with soldering and metal fabrication processes
- Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Knowledge of ASME welding codes and standards
- Familiarity with rigging operations, including crane and forklift use
- Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills
- Commitment to safe work practices and quality workmanship
- Ability to commute to Staten Island, NY and work on-site
