KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Farm Hand, your duties may include:
Farm Operations & Maintenance
- Carrying out scheduled irrigation and repairing irrigation equipment
- Operating farm machinery you are trained or licensed to use, including spraying, pruning, harvesting, and plant equipment
- Performing tree maintenance and general ground maintenance work
- Maintaining plant, tools, machinery, and equipment on the farm
Records & Safety
- Maintaining accurate farm and operational records
- Following workplace safety procedures at all times
- Supporting team members and contributing to efficient daily operations

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Essential Requirements
- Flexibility to work weekends and shift work when required
- Willingness to learn and engage in all aspects of walnut farming operations
- Valid Australian driver’s licence
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication skills
- Strong commitment to safety
- Chemical certification or willingness to obtain one
- Positive “can-do” attitude
Desirable Skills
- Previous irrigation experience
- Prior farm or orchard experience
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position involves:
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, and standing
- Operating machinery and equipment
- Independent and team-based farm duties
- On-site work only
