Responsibilities
- Provide safe and reliable transportation for clients to medical appointments, program activities, recovery meetings, and recreational events
- Transport and reposition community outreach mobile units (campers) as required
- Coordinate weekly transportation schedules with the Program Coordinator
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and ensure proper maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness, functionality, and safety of assigned vehicles
- Report vehicle issues or maintenance needs to the Vehicle Department
- Keep accurate records of vehicle mileage and maintenance logs
- Assist with client interventions and redirect inappropriate behavior when necessary
- Communicate daily with clinical staff regarding client behavior during transportation
- Participate in team meetings and provide relevant updates
- Report serious rule violations, including violence or drug use, to the Program Coordinator or designated personnel
- Support overall program safety and security
- Ensure transported participants do not carry illegal substances or prohibited items
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- Valid Category 9 Driver’s License
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer software
- Ability to understand and support participants with recurring disorders
- Strong conflict management and de-escalation abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility and ability to perform effectively under pressure
