About the Role
The Carpenter will work on a range of residential construction and renovation projects. The position involves measuring and preparing materials, installing building components, carrying out repairs, and helping coordinate work at different job sites.
The work environment can be physically demanding and may involve working at heights, in dusty or noisy areas, and under tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
As a carpenter, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Prepare layouts according to building codes and project requirements.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
- Install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware.
- Schedule and coordinate work at construction sites.
- Supervise a team of approximately 3–4 workers.
- Estimate material requirements and project costs.
- Use CADD and other computer software where required.
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residential properties and wooden structures.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and construction standards.
- Complete assigned projects efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Requirements
