Responsibilities
As an Accountant / Junior Accountant working for Lufthansa Group Business Services in Kraków, Poland, you will be responsible for the following:
Accounting Operations
- Process accounting documents according to company procedures and accounting standards
- Verify accounting documents and obtain required approvals
- Create and update vendor master data in accounting systems
- Estimate and post accruals and provisions
- Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation
Financial Analysis
- Monitor and reconcile accounts to identify outstanding items
- Analyze invoice discrepancies and expected costs
- Initiate corrections through internal systems or supplier debit notes
- Prepare reports and financial analyses for finance departments and management
Communication & Coordination
- Communicate professionally with suppliers and customers via email, phone, and meetings
- Provide accounting documentation and financial reports when required
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure efficient workflow
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, internal controls, and audit requirements
- Maintain up-to-date process documentation
- Follow local accounting regulations and company policies
- Meet agreed service levels and quality standards
General Duties
- Support supervisors with additional accounting-related tasks
- Contribute to continuous process improvements
- Work collaboratively within the finance team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or completion of the third year of studies)
- Junior Accountant: Initial experience in a corporate environment is an advantage
- Accountant: Minimum one year of Finance & Accounting experience (preferably SSC/BPO)
- Good command of English (minimum B1 level)
- German language skills are an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
