Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on a variety of metal components according to specifications
- Read and interpret technical drawings, fabrication plans, and welding symbols
- Ensure all welds meet required quality and safety standards
- Operate workshop tools and equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Work collaboratively with the production team to meet project deadlines
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in MIG welding within a production or workshop environment
- Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Must be currently based in New Zealand and legally eligible to work
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
