KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Long Haul Truck Driver, your duties may include:
Driving & Transportation
- Operating straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials over long distances
- Planning or adjusting routes using GPS or navigation systems to minimize fuel consumption and emissions
- Performing pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
Cargo Handling & Safety
- Loading and unloading goods
- Securing cargo using tarps and safety equipment
- Ensuring the safety and security of transported materials at all times
Vehicle Maintenance & Documentation
- Inspecting tires, brakes, lights, refrigeration units, and other equipment
- Performing brake adjustments and minor emergency roadside repairs
- Recording cargo details, fuel usage, distance travelled, and hours of service
Customer Service & Professionalism
- Addressing customer questions, complaints, or concerns professionally
- Representing the company with courtesy and professionalism on the road

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
The following rquirements need to be met in order to be eligble for this job;
Essential Requirements
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Valid Class 1 / 1F / A Driver’s Licence (semi-trailer trucks)
- Air Brakes Endorsement
- Experience is an asset but not mandatory
- Ability to travel frequently or continuously

- Ability to work independently
- Good communication and customer service skills
WORK ENVIRONMENT
