Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing, documenting and reporting changes to nursing staff
- Support residents with mobility needs using proper lifting techniques and equipment
- Engage residents in meaningful social and cognitive activities
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members
- Promote dignity, independence, and emotional wellbeing for all residents
Requirements
- Previous caregiving experience or related healthcare experience preferred
- Knowledge of Alzheimer’s and dementia care practices
- Valid First Aid, CPR, and Food Handler Certifications (required)
- Ability to safely assist residents with mobility and lifting needs
- Strong communication skills and teamwork abilities
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support elderly individuals
- Ability to work full-time on-site
