Responsibilities
- Perform general farm duties, including livestock management (sheep, deer, and cattle)
- Assist with intensive lambing operations, ensuring accurate record-keeping
- Support and implement on-farm scientific research trials according to protocols
- Work closely with science teams to achieve research objectives
- Carry out farm maintenance tasks such as fencing repairs, weed spraying, and pasture management
- Ensure farm resources and equipment are maintained to a functional standard
- Follow best farming practices and adhere to health and safety guidelines
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of farming experience
- Strong knowledge of animal health, stock handling, and farm record-keeping
- Experience with TruTest systems (preferred but not essential)
- Experience in recorded lambing or willingness to learn
- Valid full driver’s license
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
