Responsibilities

  • Perform general farm duties, including livestock management (sheep, deer, and cattle)
  • Assist with intensive lambing operations, ensuring accurate record-keeping
  • Support and implement on-farm scientific research trials according to protocols
  • Work closely with science teams to achieve research objectives
  • Carry out farm maintenance tasks such as fencing repairs, weed spraying, and pasture management
  • Ensure farm resources and equipment are maintained to a functional standard
  • Follow best farming practices and adhere to health and safety guidelines

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of farming experience
  • Strong knowledge of animal health, stock handling, and farm record-keeping
  • Experience with TruTest systems (preferred but not essential)
  • Experience in recorded lambing or willingness to learn
  • Valid full driverโ€™s license
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
