This is a full-time position with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week. Responsibilities
- Assist with feed planning and management
- Help control weeds and pests
- Support fertilizer application and irrigation processes
Milking
- Assist with all aspects of the milking process
- Maintain plant hygiene and quality standards
- Ensure milk quality meets required standards
Effluent Management
- Operate and maintain effluent systems
- Ensure compliance with regional regulations
- Maintain accurate records
Animal Care
- Assist in maintaining animal health programs
- Support calving, wintering, and calf rearing
- Maintain herd records and report sick animals
Farm Operations (Business)
- Assist the Farm Manager in implementing farm plans
- Support maintenance of machinery and infrastructure
- Follow company policies and procedures
Health, Safety & Environment
- Follow all health and safety guidelines
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Work according to environmental best practices
Requirements
- Physically fit and willing to learn
- No prior experience required (training will be provided)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must have a clean criminal record
- Valid driver’s license required
- Willing to live on-site in provided accommodation
- Must be eligible to work in New Zealand
