Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
- Select appropriate materials for welding and fabrication projects
- Perform welding, fabrication, rebuilds, and repairs on company equipment
- Complete lifting and rigging activities safely and effectively
- Measure, cut, and assemble metal components to precise specifications
- Conduct preventative maintenance and repair cracks or structural defects
- Operate tools and equipment required for metal fabrication and assembly
- Identify potential hazards, deficiencies, and equipment failures
- Follow all safety, health, and environmental procedures
- Accurately submit daily timecards and labour, equipment, and material reports
Requirements
- Red Seal “C” Welder Ticket or higher (fabrication experience preferred)
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence
- Strong understanding of welding techniques, metallurgy, and best practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and technical documents
- Willingness to travel regionally and work flexible schedules as required
- Physically capable of performing welding and rigging duties safely
