Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of civil engineering design plans, calculations, and technical reports
- Support land development projects including stormwater management, site grading, and utility design
- Prepare permit documentation and construction drawings under the guidance of senior engineers
- Coordinate with internal project teams, subconsultants, and stakeholders
- Support project scheduling and track critical milestones
- Manage multiple assignments while meeting project deadlines
- Contribute to a collaborative, team-focused work environment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
- 0–3 years of experience in civil or land development engineering
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred but not required
- Ability to work full-time in Charlotte, NC
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and grow professionally
Skills
- AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Stormwater management system design
- Site grading and utility layout (water, sanitary, storm)
- Preparation of SWPPP and permit documentation
- Cost estimation and Engineer’s Opinion of Probable Cost (EOPC)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Effective time management and problem-solving abilities
