Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
- Administer medications as prescribed and follow individualized care plans
- Provide mobility assistance and safe lifting when required
- Encourage social interaction and community involvement to promote independence
- Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe living environment
- Accurately document care activities in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and provide first aid or CPR when necessary
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to pass required background checks
- Experience in caregiving preferred, especially with Medicaid Waiver clients or individuals with disabilities
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting
- Knowledge of client confidentiality and HIPAA standards
- Flexible availability to meet client care needs
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
