Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders
- Set up welding equipment and select appropriate welding techniques and materials (MIG, TIG, ARC, Gas, etc.)
- Perform welding in flat, vertical, and overhead positions as required
- Inspect welded joints and structures to ensure accuracy, strength, and quality standards
- Identify and correct welding defects when necessary
- Maintain welding tools and equipment in good working condition
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear protective equipment at all times
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet project deadlines
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Welder or in a similar role
- Hands-on knowledge of multiple welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick, ARC, Gas)
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications
- Good physical stamina and ability to work in challenging environments (heat, heights, confined spaces)
- Understanding of welding safety standards and procedures
- Welding certification is preferred but not mandatory
