Responsibilities
- Interpret welding procedure specifications (WPS) to determine appropriate materials, consumables, and welding variables
- Perform welding tasks using GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), Flux-core, and/or SMAW (Stick) processes
- Ensure all fabricated components meet strict quality and safety standards
- Operate and maintain welding machines, power tools, hand tools, and measuring equipment
- Work closely with the workshop supervisor and team members to complete assigned tasks efficiently
- Inspect finished workpieces to ensure compliance with specifications
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with company policies
Requirements
- Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Welder) or equivalent qualification
- Proven ability to pass a welder qualification test
- Strong experience in GMAW (MIG) welding
- Experience with GTAW (TIG), Flux-core, and/or SMAW (Stick) welding (preferred)
- Experience working with stainless steel (advantageous)
- Ability to read and interpret welding procedure specifications (WPS)
- Current and valid driver’s license
- Additional licenses such as forklift, Dogman (DG), or other high-risk work licenses are advantageous
