Responsibilities
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
- Set up and operate TIG and MIG welding equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform welding tasks to join metal components accurately
- Cut, shape, and form sheet metal components as required
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality standards are met
- Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
- Maintain accurate records of materials used and work completed
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines
- Assist with general fabrication and workshop duties when needed
Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of welding experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of TIG and MIG welding, especially with stainless steel
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
- Relevant welding qualification or certification (preferred but not mandatory)
- Strong understanding of welding safety procedures
- Good mathematical skills for measurements and calculations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
