OVERVIEW OF LANGUAGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE
JaiNik Construction is accepting applications from framing professionals who meet the following:
Languages Required:
- English (Fluent)
Education & Experience:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required
- 1 year to less than 2 years of framing or carpentry experience preferred
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Framer-Carpenter at JaiNik Construction, your tasks will include:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine construction requirements
- Preparing layouts in conformance with building codes using measuring tools
- Measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling materials such as wood, lightweight steel, and wood substitutes
- Building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, and erecting walls and roof systems
- Constructing timber supports and cribbing
- Repairing and building wooden frames for concrete moulds
- Working independently and collaboratively across various residential and commercial projects
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role includes the following working conditions:
- On-site work only, across various job locations
- Outdoor construction environment; exposure to dust, noise, and heights
- Physically demanding role requiring bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting heavy loads
- Fast-paced projects with tight deadlines and manual labor
- Combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the shift
