Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning of school buildings and assigned areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize floors and surfaces
- Clean restrooms, classrooms, hallways, and common areas
- Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste properly
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in good condition
- Follow established safety and sanitation procedures
- Assist with basic building upkeep as assigned
- Report maintenance or safety issues to supervisors promptly
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Ability to obtain fingerprint clearance through the NYS Department of Education (required for new employees)
- Ability to work overnight shift (11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.)
- Physical ability to perform routine cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
