KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Carpenter at Bretoba Contracting, your responsibilities will include:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements.
- Preparing layouts in accordance with building codes using measuring tools.
- Measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials such as wood, steel, and other building materials.
- Constructing foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, and erecting walls and roof systems.
- Mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt.
- Erecting and dismantling scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, and barricades.
- Operating tools and machinery such as drills, saws, compressors, and nail guns.
- Assisting with framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
- Ensuring all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and with attention to detail.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role involves:
- Working at various residential and commercial construction sites.
- Performing tasks in outdoor, confined, or high environments.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

- A Registered Apprenticeship Certificate or equivalent experience.
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience in carpentry or construction.
- Strong understanding of construction techniques, codes, and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy loads and perform demanding tasks.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- A valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation.
