Responsibilities
- Coordinate, assign, and supervise the work of livestock workers, machinery operators, and farm labourers
- Oversee breeding programs and livestock-related operations
- Supervise crop production activities, including grains and harvesting
- Assist with moving products during winter and preparing shipments
- Ensure farm cleanliness and proper maintenance of equipment
- Monitor and enforce procedures related to animal health and welfare
- Supervise maintenance of farm infrastructure, tools, and supplies
- Perform tasks such as tree tapping in all weather conditions
- Ensure all farm safety procedures are followed
- Carry out general farm duties and other assigned tasks
Requirements
- Strong punctuality and reliability
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 75 lbs
- Comfortable working with animals and not afraid of small livestock
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends when required
- Valid driver’s license (preferred)
- Experience operating farm machinery (asset)
- Basic mechanical knowledge (asset)
