Responsibilities

  • Assist with feed planning and management
  • Help control weeds and pests
  • Support fertilizer application and irrigation processes

Milking

  • Assist with all aspects of the milking process
  • Maintain plant hygiene and quality standards
  • Ensure milk quality meets required standards

Effluent Management

  • Operate and maintain effluent systems
  • Ensure compliance with regional regulations
  • Maintain accurate records

Animal Care

  • Assist in maintaining animal health programs
  • Support calving, wintering, and calf rearing
  • Maintain herd records and report sick animals

Farm Operations (Business)

  • Assist the Farm Manager in implementing farm plans
  • Support maintenance of machinery and infrastructure
  • Follow company policies and procedures

Health, Safety & Environment

  • Follow all health and safety guidelines
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Work according to environmental best practices

Requirements

  • Physically fit and willing to learn
  • No prior experience required (training will be provided)
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must have a clean criminal record
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Willing to live on-site in provided accommodation
  • Must be eligible to work in New Zealand
