Responsibilities

  • Clean and prepare vacant residential units including kitchens, bathrooms, floors, windows, and appliances.
  • Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of common areas such as hallways, stairwells, lobbies, entrances, and amenity spaces.
  • Empty garbage and recycling bins and ensure proper waste disposal procedures are followed.
  • Assist with exterior garbage pickup and general property cleanliness.
  • Replenish cleaning supplies and notify supervisors when inventory is low.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Report maintenance issues, property damage, or unsafe conditions to the Maintenance Team.
  • Support cleaning efforts during special events or emergency situations such as accidents or flooding.
  • Maintain secure handling of keys and access to tenant units when required.
  • Interact professionally with tenants, visitors, staff, and contractors.
  • Complete assigned cleaning tasks efficiently within scheduled timeframes.
  • Identify cleaning needs proactively and work collaboratively with other departments.
  • Follow safe work practices and use personal protective equipment when necessary.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Valid Class 5 Manitoba driver’s license.
  • Clear criminal record check.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in residential or commercial cleaning is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Comfortable working with cleaning agents and in both indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
