Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain assigned areas including patient rooms, exam rooms, offices, public areas, and restrooms
- Ensure all areas are sanitary, orderly, and meet established hospital standards
- Remove trash and dispose of waste properly
- Replenish supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper
- Make beds in patient discharge and on-call rooms following proper procedures
- Inspect assigned areas and report maintenance or repair issues to supervisors
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and autoscrubbers
- Move furniture, clean walls, and spot-clean carpets as required
- Follow all safety, infection control, and sanitation regulations
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including bending, lifting, and prolonged standing
- Must meet Department of Labor Heavy Duty work standards
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods
- Willingness to work on-call shifts based on hospital needs
- Ability to read and follow written instructions
