Responsibilities
- Develop detailed construction plans and oversee on-site project execution.
- Conduct site investigations, complete data analysis, and lead technical inspections.
- Coordinate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and project partners.
- Manage planning, scheduling, procurement, surveying, and QHSE compliance.
- Monitor progress, prepare status reports, and ensure adherence to project budgets.
- Maintain regulatory compliance and manage cost control processes.
- Provide technical leadership on drawings, permits, and inspection test plans.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a high-performing team culture.
- Promote safety, quality, and excellence across all project phases.
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Project Engineer in NZ, UK, or Australia.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft Project, or similar tools (preferred).
- Proven experience delivering large-scale civil engineering projects.
- Strong competency in site layout, utility design, grading, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and commercial analysis skills.
- Skilled in project delivery, surveying, and permit processes.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, plans, and ITPs.
- Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate and thrive in a team-focused environment.
