Responsibilities
As a Picker/Packer, you’ll work within the Stores team, collaborating with production, logistics, and warehouse management to ensure on-time and high-quality order fulfillment. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Picking and packing components according to Sales Orders
- Building pallets, crates, and boxes for secure and accurate packaging
- Using Epicor ERP system for inventory tracking and transaction processing
- Safely operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and woodshop tools
- Prioritizing daily tasks using ERP material queues
- Ensuring the warehouse remains organized, clean, and free of hazards
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and quality standards
- Communicating effectively with team members and reporting any issues or suggestions
Requirements
To qualify for this role, candidates must have:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a picker/packer role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of mechanical parts and ability to read engineering drawings
- Proven ability to build secure shipping containers using power tools
- Valid forklift license and experience using cranes
- Familiarity with ERP systems (preferably Epicor)
- Ability to work under a unionized collective agreement
