OVERVIEW OF LANGUAGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE

Oncology Surgery Ltd. welcomes applicants who meet the following criteria:

Languages Required

  • English (oral and written, with excellent communication skills)

Education & Experience

  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist, administrator, or in a similar role preferred
  • Accurate typing and transcription skills (medical terminology knowledge an advantage)
  • Proficiency in medical software (Profile preferred, but training available)
  • Strong organizational and administrative abilities
  • Warm, professional phone manner and interpersonal skills

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Medical Receptionist/Typist, your key duties will include:

  • Greeting and welcoming patients in a professional, friendly manner
  • Handling phone calls, scheduling appointments, and maintaining the appointment calendar
  • Transcribing and processing medical correspondence, reports, and documents
  • Preparing and coordinating weekly clinics (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday)
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and updating electronic medical systems
  • Ensuring reception and waiting areas remain organized and welcoming
  • Supporting medical professionals and clinical staff with administrative needs
  • Assisting with general office tasks as required

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This role will involve:

  • Working in a small, collaborative, and patient-focused medical practice
  • Close interaction with patients, medical professionals, and clinical staff
  • Handling sensitive medical information with discretion and professionalism
  • Balancing multiple administrative tasks in a busy clinical setting
