OVERVIEW OF LANGUAGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE
Oncology Surgery Ltd. welcomes applicants who meet the following criteria:
Languages Required
- English (oral and written, with excellent communication skills)
Education & Experience
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist, administrator, or in a similar role preferred
- Accurate typing and transcription skills (medical terminology knowledge an advantage)
- Proficiency in medical software (Profile preferred, but training available)
- Strong organizational and administrative abilities
- Warm, professional phone manner and interpersonal skills
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Medical Receptionist/Typist, your key duties will include:
- Greeting and welcoming patients in a professional, friendly manner
- Handling phone calls, scheduling appointments, and maintaining the appointment calendar
- Transcribing and processing medical correspondence, reports, and documents
- Preparing and coordinating weekly clinics (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday)
- Maintaining accurate patient records and updating electronic medical systems
- Ensuring reception and waiting areas remain organized and welcoming
- Supporting medical professionals and clinical staff with administrative needs
- Assisting with general office tasks as required
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role will involve:
- Working in a small, collaborative, and patient-focused medical practice
- Close interaction with patients, medical professionals, and clinical staff
- Handling sensitive medical information with discretion and professionalism
- Balancing multiple administrative tasks in a busy clinical setting
