KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will:
Driving & Transportation
- Operate straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy when required.
- Travel long-haul routes within provinces and across borders.
- Transport and handle dangerous goods safely and responsibly.
Vehicle Inspection & Maintenance
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
- Inspect tires, brakes, lights, cold storage, and other equipment.
- Perform basic brake adjustments.
- Monitor vehicle condition and report mechanical issues promptly.
Documentation & Communication
- Maintain accurate driver logbooks and trip reports.
- Record cargo details, fuel consumption, distance traveled, and hours of service.
- Use GPS and navigation systems efficiently.
- Communicate regularly with central dispatch.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
M&H Transport Ltd. is seeking candidates with the following skills and qualifications:
Minimum Requirements
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Willingness to travel overnight, cross-border, and internationally.
- Ability to pass medical exam and drug test.
- Valid passport.
Additional Requirements
- Criminal record check.
- Driver’s licence validity check and driving record abstract.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Ability to handle heavy loads and physically demanding work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous long-haul driving experience (training provided).
- Familiarity with bills of lading, trip reports, and driver logbooks.
- Experience transporting regulated or dangerous goods.

- Long periods of sitting and driving.
- Physically demanding tasks, including handling cargo.
