KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Long Haul Truck Driver at KJS Transport Inc., you will:
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Plan routes, obtain permits, and ensure all required documentation is completed
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
- Oversee condition of vehicle and perform basic maintenance and emergency roadside repairs
- Transport and handle dangerous goods while ensuring compliance with safety regulations
- Load, tarp, and secure cargo for transportation
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
- Provide excellent communication with dispatch and customers
- Collect and process payments for goods when required

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role involves:
- Driving long distances, including cross-border routes

REQUIRED SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Valid AZ Class License (required)
- Strong communication (oral and written) skills
- Efficient interpersonal skills and professionalism
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage long shifts
- Patience, reliability, and commitment to safety
- Willingness to work overtime and on varying schedules
