OVERVIEW OF LANGUAGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE
We are looking for candidates who meet the following:
Languages Required:
- English
Education & Experience:
- No degree, certificate or diploma required
- Experience is an asset – training will be provided
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Depending on the season and work schedule, your responsibilities may include:
- Operating and maintaining farm machinery and tools
- Cleaning crops and sorting produce
- Examining grain quality and preparing products for market
- Handling bulk feed systems and farm truck loading/unloading
- Cleaning work areas and performing general maintenance
- Supporting all aspects of dry pea, corn, canola, and soybean production
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- On-site work only – remote work is not available
- Outdoor conditions in dusty, noisy, hot, and sometimes hazardous environments
- Exposure to heights, confined spaces, and changing weather conditions
- Requires use of steel-toed boots and gloves
REQUIRED SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES
We’re looking for applicants who are:
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- Reliable, flexible, and ready to work independently
- Comfortable working under pressure with tight deadlines
- Familiar with or eager to learn farm equipment and grain handling systems
- Capable of distinguishing colors and working in a detail-oriented role
- In possession of a valid driver’s license and own transportation
Equipment Experience (an asset):
- Farm truck, forklift, loaders, welding, hand tools
- Automated systems for grain or feed handling
