Garden Labourers needed in NZ

As a Casual Labourer in Garden Maintenance, you will help maintain safe and attractive landscapes while working alongside a friendly and reliable crew.

This is a casual, on-call position with flexible hours available as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Casual Labourer – Garden Maintenance, you will:

Gardening & Grounds Duties

  • Mow small grass and plant areas.
  • Perform weeding, pruning, and hedge trimming.
  • Assist in developing new garden beds and landscaping areas.
  • Hand-pull weeds and support vegetation control activities.
  • Carry out general outdoor labour duties as required.
  • Maintain safety for yourself, your team, and village residents.
  • Work collaboratively within a garden maintenance team.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements

  • Full, current driver’s licence (manual driving experience preferred).
  • Strong work ethic with a hands-on, can-do attitude.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety (or willingness to learn).
  • Ability to communicate clearly with residents and team members.
  • Physical fitness to meet the demands of outdoor labour work.

Additional Requirements

  • Experience in gardening or landscaping (advantageous but not required).
  • Ability to use hand tools and basic garden equipment (training provided).
  • Reliability and punctuality for casual rostered work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in garden, grounds, or property maintenance.
  • Knowledge of safe work practices in outdoor environments.
