KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Food Counter Attendant, your key duties will include:

  • Preparing, heating, and finishing simple food items
  • Serving customers at counters or buffet tables
  • Taking customers’ orders courteously
  • Stocking refrigerators, salad bars, and condiment stations
  • Portioning, wrapping, and packaging take-out food
  • Replenishing supplies at tables and serving areas
  • Handling cleaning and sanitization of dishes, utensils, and workspaces
  • Operating dishwashers and manual cleaning of kitchen items
  • Sweeping, mopping, and polishing kitchen floors
  • Washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit
  • Scouring pots and pans
  • Recording food quantities used
  • Receiving and storing supplies in refrigerators and storage areas

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This role will involve:

  • Working in a fast-paced restaurant setting
  • Performing physically demanding and repetitive tasks
  • Standing for extended periods
  • Lifting loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Managing various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Operating kitchen equipment including deep fryers, ovens, and food dispensers
