Overview of Language, Education, and Experience
Moana New Zealand seeks individuals who meet the following criteria:
- Language: English (fluent)
- Education: No formal qualification required, but physical fitness and enthusiasm to learn are essential.
- Experience: No prior experience required. On-the-job training will be provided.
Tasks and Responsibilities
As a Farm Worker at Moana New Zealand, your key responsibilities will include:
- Checking stock and monitoring the health of oyster farms
- Harvesting oysters and assisting with the farming process
- Removing old infrastructure to make way for new, innovative farm systems
- Assembling oyster baskets and performing general farm duties
- Working in both farm and shed environments
- Supporting the implementation of cutting-edge farming systems
- Learning and gaining qualifications in aquaculture (e.g., Skippers Licence, Aquaculture Certification)
- Working with a dedicated team to contribute to the farm’s growth and profitability
