🧾 Job Summary
Based at our fully equipped workshop in Penrose, you will join our growing team as a Fabricator/Welder. You’ll be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding metal components for vehicle modifications and repairs, including trailers and truck bodies. The role involves reading technical drawings, using various welding techniques, and collaborating closely with the workshop team to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
🧰 Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings and technical plans
- Measure, cut, fabricate, and weld metal parts using MIG, TIG, and ARC welding techniques
- Construct and repair custom vehicle components including trailers and truck bodies
- Perform general workshop tasks including maintenance and repair
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards at all times
- Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and project goals
✅ Requirements
- Proven experience in welding and metal fabrication, especially MIG welding
- Familiarity with TIG and ARC welding is advantageous
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings independently
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality work
- Good problem-solving skills and proactive work ethic
- Full NZ driver’s license preferred
