Overview of Language, Education, and Experience
We are looking for the following qualifications and certifications in our ideal candidates:
- Language: Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience: Previous driving experience in freight or logistics preferred
- Certification: Valid Class 5 (HT) Driver’s Licence is required
Tasks and Responsibilities
As a Driver – Class 5, you will:
- Pick up and deliver freight between commercial and residential sites safely
- Load and unload goods manually or with handling equipment
- Complete all required documentation and scanning accurately
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report maintenance needs promptly
- Assist team members and support operations when needed
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
Required Skills and Capabilities
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A clean, valid Class 5 New Zealand Driver’s Licence
- Physical fitness to handle freight movement, loading, and unloading
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage workload independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Good organization and attention to detail for paperwork and scheduling

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This is an on-the-road and depot-based role in a fast-paced logistics environment. The role involves manual labour, operating delivery vehicles, and interaction with a variety of clients and team members. Expect a mix of driving and hands-on freight handling throughout your day.
