Overview of Language, Education, and Experience

Here is what we are looking for in terms of language, education, and experience:

  • Language: Proficient in English (spoken and written)
  • Education: Electrical trade qualification
  • Experience: Previous experience in commercial electrical maintenance or project work is highly desirable

Tasks and Responsibilities

As an Electrician, your work will include:

  • Performing planned preventive and reactive maintenance
  • Completing electrical project work as assigned
  • Diagnosing and repairing faults in commercial settings
  • Using mobile dispatch technology to manage work orders
  • Maintaining a safe and compliant working environment
  • Supporting a wide variety of clients, including banks, universities, and government sites

Required Skills and Capabilities

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • A valid New Zealand Electrical Licence (‘no limits’)
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety standards
  • Physical fitness to work on-site and use tools safely
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Confidence using smartphones, tablets, and work apps
  • A full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence
  • Legal right to work in New Zealand

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This is an active, on-site role involving regular physical activity, including lifting tools, standing for extended periods, and working in varied indoor/outdoor conditions. You will work across multiple commercial sites and be equipped with modern safety gear and technology.
