About The Role
Based at the David Buttfield Centre, a 105-bed aged care facility in Gwelup, this casual cleaning role plays a vital part in maintaining a clean, hygienic, and comfortable environment.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Cleaning resident rooms and common areas to a high standard
- Supporting laundry services and linen management
- Replenishing supplies and consumables as needed
- Assisting with the movement of furniture and rubbish bins
- Adhering to infection control and food safety standards
- Completing cleaning schedules and shift documentation
- Ensuring a safe, tidy, and homely environment for residents and visitors
Requirements
- Physically capable of performing manual cleaning tasks
- Strong time management and attention to detail
- Flexible and adaptable to a changing workload
- Genuine empathy and respect for older people
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team
- High level of comprehension to follow cleaning procedures and safety standards
- Willingness to undergo background checks including:
- National criminal history check
- Reference checks
- NDIS worker screening (if applicable)
- Pre-employment medical assessment
