Responsibilities
- Providing respectful and dignified personal care to residents
- Assisting with mobility and physical support, according to individual care plans
- Maintaining accurate and timely health care documentation
- Encouraging resident participation in social and recreational activities
- Supporting a safe, positive, and welcoming environment for residents, families, and staff
Requirements
- NZQA Health and Wellbeing Certificate (Level 2 to 4) – preferred but not mandatory
- At least 1 year of experience working in aged care (preferred)
- Legal entitlement to work in New Zealand
Skills
- Genuinely passionate about elder care and community service
- Reliable and flexible with a positive attitude
- A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Emotionally resilient, compassionate, and patient
- Willing to learn and grow within the care profession
