Responsibilities

  • Providing respectful and dignified personal care to residents
  • Assisting with mobility and physical support, according to individual care plans
  • Maintaining accurate and timely health care documentation
  • Encouraging resident participation in social and recreational activities
  • Supporting a safe, positive, and welcoming environment for residents, families, and staff

Requirements

  • NZQA Health and Wellbeing Certificate (Level 2 to 4) – preferred but not mandatory
  • At least 1 year of experience working in aged care (preferred)
  • Legal entitlement to work in New Zealand

Skills

  • Genuinely passionate about elder care and community service
  • Reliable and flexible with a positive attitude
  • A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Emotionally resilient, compassionate, and patient
  • Willing to learn and grow within the care profession
