KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Truck Driver, you will:
- Plan and adjust routes using GPS or navigation tools to optimize efficiency, minimize fuel use, and reduce carbon emissions.
- Safely load and unload goods, ensuring cargo is properly secured.
- Obtain and manage special permits and documentation required for transporting cargo on international routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including tires, brakes, lights, and cold storage systems.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance and brake adjustments as required.
- Carry out emergency roadside repairs when necessary.
- Monitor and record cargo information, hours of service, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Maintain clear communication with dispatchers and ensure timely deliveries.
- Follow all transportation laws and safety regulations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role involves:
- Operating primarily from our Brampton-based facility with regional and cross-border routes.
- Working independently while maintaining strong communication with the dispatch team.
- Managing both day and occasional long-haul trips as required.
- Performing hands-on tasks including loading, unloading, and light mechanical checks.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: No experience required — training will be provided.
- Valid driver’s licence (Class 1 or equivalent).
- Strong awareness of road safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent navigation and time management skills.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as loading and unloading.
- Basic record-keeping and communication skills.
- Professional attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn.
