Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive care and supervision for a 5-year-old child in a safe, engaging environment.
- Plan and participate in age-appropriate activities that encourage learning, creativity, and play.
- Prepare light meals or snacks as needed.
- Support daily routines, including bedtime, hygiene, and quiet time.
- Maintain a tidy play area and assist with light household tasks related to the child.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with parents regarding routines and wellbeing.
- Provide pet-friendly care — the family has household pets.
Requirements
- Experience working as a nanny, babysitter, or caregiver for young children.
- A current Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain one.
- Reliable transport to and from Kewdale.
- Flexibility to work Sundays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays for fewer than 10 hours weekly.
- Genuine love of children and a caring, patient personality.
- Pet-friendly and comfortable in homes with animals.
