Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily farm operations, including planting, cultivating, irrigating, and harvesting crops
  • Operate and maintain light farm machinery and vehicles (e.g., tractors)
  • Support packhouse and field operations during busy harvest periods
  • Carry out repairs, fencing, and general maintenance work around the farm
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of farm facilities and equipment
  • Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
  • Good physical fitness and stamina for manual outdoor labor
  • Reliable transport and a valid driver’s license
  • Availability to work weekends and longer hours during peak seasons
  • Previous experience in farming, horticulture, or trades (e.g., fencing, irrigation, drainage) is beneficial but not essential
  • Must hold valid work rights for New Zealand
