Responsibilities
- Clean resident rooms and common areas to ensure a hygienic and comfortable environment
- Replenish cleaning and hygiene supplies as needed
- Support laundry tasks and assist with moving furniture and rubbish bins
- Maintain infection control and food safety standards
- Complete required shift documentation and paperwork
- Assist with general site tidiness and safety
- Collaborate with team members to support a respectful and welcoming community atmosphere
Requirements
- Ability to manage a physically demanding workload with flexibility
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Experience or genuine empathy and understanding of aged care residents
- Ability to maintain high infection control and safety standards
- Willingness to undergo background checks including criminal history and relevant screenings (WWCC, NDIS worker screening)
- Must have a person-centred approach and relate respectfully to the aged care population
