Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical plans
- Measure, cut, assemble, and weld metal components using MIG, TIG, and ARC welding techniques
- Fabricate custom parts for trailers, truck bodies, and commercial vehicles
- Perform general workshop duties including repairs and maintenance
- Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards
- Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and project requirements
Requirements
- Proven experience in welding and metal fabrication
- Proficiency in MIG welding; TIG and ARC welding skills are an advantage
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings independently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Good problem-solving skills and a proactive work attitude
- Full New Zealand driver’s license preferred
