🧾 Job Summary
This cleaner role is based at our 105-bed David Buttfield Centre in Gwelup. The successful candidate will help ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, families, and staff. Duties include cleaning resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, supporting laundry tasks, and assisting with the movement of furniture or waste.
You will play a vital role in infection control, food safety compliance, and overall hygiene — helping residents feel truly at home.

- Clean and sanitise resident rooms, bathrooms, and shared spaces
- Replenish hygiene and cleaning supplies as needed
- Support laundry operations and assist in maintaining linen stocks
- Move furniture, bins, or equipment when required
- Follow strict infection control and food safety guidelines
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities
- Keep the facility tidy and free of hazards at all times
- Engage with residents in a respectful and friendly manner
- Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure high service standards
✅ Qualifications & Skills Required
- Previous experience in cleaning, housekeeping, or aged care environments (preferred but not essential)
- Physically fit and capable of performing a physically demanding role
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Basic understanding of infection control and hygiene procedures
- Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks independently
- Respectful and empathetic approach towards elderly residents
- Strong time management and teamwork skills
