KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Truck Driver at Speed R Transport, you will:
- Plan and adjust delivery routes using GPS or navigation devices to optimize fuel consumption and efficiency
- Demonstrate professionalism and customer service when interacting with clients
- Load and unload goods safely and securely
- Perform brake adjustments, pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections
- Conduct preventive maintenance and oversee overall vehicle condition
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch
- Ensure compliance with Canadian transportation and safety regulations
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role involves:
- Driving long and short-haul routes in Canada
- Physically demanding work (loading/unloading, handling heavy loads)
- Sitting for extended periods during trips
- Willingness to relocate (relocation costs not covered by employer)
- No remote work option (on-site driving required)
