OVERVIEW OF LANGUAGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE
SMR Plumbing & Heating welcomes applicants who meet the following criteria:
Languages Required
- English (oral and written)
Education & Experience
- Trade certificate, diploma, or equivalent experience
- 3–5 years of plumbing experience (domestic, commercial, or industrial)
Credentials & Licenses (preferred)
- Plumber Red Seal Certificate
- Gas Fitter Red Seal Certificate
- Plumber Trade Certification
- Backflow Prevention Certification
- WHMIS Training
- Confined Space Entry Training
- Valid Class 3 or D Driver’s License
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Plumber with SMR Plumbing & Heating, your duties will include:
- Installing domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
- Repairing and maintaining plumbing systems and fixtures
- Reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan system layouts
- Locating and marking pipe connections, passage holes, and fixture positions
- Cutting openings in walls and floors to accommodate piping
- Measuring, cutting, threading, and bending pipes to required sizes
- Joining pipes using couplings, clamps, soldering, brazing, or welding methods
- Testing pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
- Determining system requirements and proper pipe sizing
- Ensuring compliance with safety codes and environmental standards

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role will involve:
- Traveling to varied job sites across North Vancouver and surrounding areas
