Responsibilities
- Perform welding, fabrication, fit-up, and layout work
- Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
- Conduct air arcing, grinding, and cutting torch operations
- Repair trucks, trailers, and rental equipment components
- Safely operate hand tools and power tools
- Participate in tailgate meetings, safety inspections, and operational meetings
- Follow and enforce company HSE standards, SOPs, JSAs, and Work Site Observations
- Assist in training Apprentice Welders as required
- Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment
- Maintain inventory of welding consumables and report usage
- Support other team members with shop and project activities
Requirements
- Previous fabrication experience is required
- Strong understanding of various welding methods and best-use applications
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans
- Experience using cutting torch, air arcing, and grinding tools
- Physically capable of prolonged standing, walking, and manual work
- Ability to work in confined spaces and varying weather conditions
- Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and uneven ground
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Manufacturing experience considered an asset
