Responsibilities
- Perform welding using electric, acetylene, and inert gas shielded processes
- Conduct pre-heating, brazing, tack welding, flame cutting, pressure welding, and heat treating
- Lay out and fabricate angles, arcs, and circular components for structural repair and construction
- Interpret building plans, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Make flat, vertical, horizontal, and overhead welds on light and heavy metal structures
- Perform precision welding on jigs, dies, and engineering equipment
- Adjust and install lines and ductwork supporting HVAC/R systems
- Maintain compliance with V2X, OSHA, and USAF safety standards
- Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and hazard-free
- Properly utilize and safeguard government and contractor-provided tools and equipment
- Accurately complete timesheets and company reporting procedures
- Participate in required training programs, including CBRN defense training
- Perform other duties as assigned based on operational requirements
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Journeyman card through a recognized apprenticeship program, state certification, or equivalent trade credentials
- Valid or expired state contractor’s license, ICC certification, nationally recognized trade certification, or documented military trade experience (DD214)
- Valid U.S. Passport and U.S. Driver’s License (manual transmission required)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. SECRET Security Clearance
- Ability to obtain an Air Force flight line driver’s license and flight line access badge
- Successful completion of medical, dental, psychological, drug testing, and background checks
- Ability to complete hands-on CBRN defense training and protective gear fit testing
