Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy construction equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, rollers, graders, and more.
  • Conduct daily inspections and routine maintenance (lubricating, fueling, cleaning) of all assigned equipment.
  • Maneuver and position machinery safely in accordance with job site and safety standards.
  • Perform grading, backfilling, ditching, loading, excavating, and related tasks.
  • Operate equipment effectively in diverse terrain, including mountainous and rural areas.
  • Oversee and mentor small crews to ensure efficiency and safety compliance.
  • Troubleshoot operational or mechanical issues promptly.
  • Adhere strictly to company and OSHA safety protocols.
  • Assist in other construction-related tasks as required by supervisors.

Requirements

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driverโ€™s License (CDL) with Tanker Endorsement โ€” required.
  • OSHA 30 certification โ€” required.
  • Minimum 7 years of civil work experience.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to travel throughout the Bay Area (occasional travel outside the region).
  • Proven ability to operate equipment on steep, rugged, and rural terrain.
  • Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance.
