Responsibilities
- Operate heavy construction equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, rollers, graders, and more.
- Conduct daily inspections and routine maintenance (lubricating, fueling, cleaning) of all assigned equipment.
- Maneuver and position machinery safely in accordance with job site and safety standards.
- Perform grading, backfilling, ditching, loading, excavating, and related tasks.
- Operate equipment effectively in diverse terrain, including mountainous and rural areas.
- Oversee and mentor small crews to ensure efficiency and safety compliance.
- Troubleshoot operational or mechanical issues promptly.
- Adhere strictly to company and OSHA safety protocols.
- Assist in other construction-related tasks as required by supervisors.
Requirements
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Tanker Endorsement — required.
- OSHA 30 certification — required.
- Minimum 7 years of civil work experience.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to travel throughout the Bay Area (occasional travel outside the region).
- Proven ability to operate equipment on steep, rugged, and rural terrain.
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
- Consistent and reliable attendance.
